The three-day Battle of Gettysburg marked a turning point not only in the course of the American Civil War, but also for the future of the United States of America. Join National Park Service Rangers during the 160th Anniversary for a series of programs that reflect on this important chapter in our nation’s history.
Taking place at different locations on the battlefield on July 1 and July 2.
From the roar of artillery to the flash of bayonets, living history demonstrations at Gettysburg National Military Park help bring the past to life. During the 160th Anniversary, Civil War living historians will encamp on the Gettysburg battlefield. Visitors witness knowledgeable living historians who demonstrate the tools, tactics, and firepower of the two armies that waged war across these now hallowed fields. See website for more details.
