4th of July Community Fireworks

Celebrate Independence Day with historic Gettysburg! Destination Gettysburg and Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority (GARA) have partnered to host this year’s community fireworks. This year’s fireworks show will take place at the Gettysburg Recreation Park and will include a special Facebook livestream for those who would like to celebrate from the safety of your home. Look for the live broadcast announcement on the Destination Gettysburg Facebook page so you can sign up to receive a reminder before the steam begins on July 4th. For those attending the event in person, proper protocol must be followed including wearing a mask in public and practicing social distancing at the event.

Gates open at 7pm and the fireworks show will begin at 9:20pm. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. Viewing of the fireworks is FREE. Onsite parking will be available for a fee of $2 per car. Parking proceeds will be donated to the Rotary Club of Gettysburg.

You may bring your own food and drinks. Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited. Attendees are required to comply with current CDC and DOH guidelines for social distancing at the event. For questions, contact Erin Peddigree with GARA, 717-334-2028.
