Join us at the George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital for a special Battle of Gettysburg anniversary encampment, Friday through Monday, July 1-4. A significant presence of living historians will set the scene and fill the historic site with a wide range of programming, demonstrations and first-person impressions. Experience and visualize many aspects of the events surrounding the American Civil War. See Union and Confederate soldiers, generals, surgeons, embalmers, tintypes and more. A Confederate field hospital portrays surgeon Hunter McGuire. Walk the grounds of the site, explore the encampments, interact with the living historians and experience history come alive.
Admission to the historic site is included with the purchase of a Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience ticket at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. Visitors also have the option to purchase single timed shuttle tickets for admission to the George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital.
