Johnny Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, was a real man whose generosity and passion for apples was an asset to settlers in Western PA and down the Ohio River Valley. In recognition of what would be his 246th birthday, we’re teaming up with The United Way of Adams County and the Gettysburg Times to collect food for local recovery charities that help our friends and neighbors in Adams County.
