Bounty of the County
Gettysburg and Biglerville, PA
Celebrate the bounty of harvest from orchards around Adams County with the annual Bounty of the County foodie event. Chefs at restaurants around Adams County have crafted special menus that feature locally grown produce in new dishes and beverages. The event is a new way to connect locals and tourists to the best that our county offers – produce from the orchards of the South Mountain Fruit Belt. Local farms have donated their peaches, apples, and other in-season produce to turn into special appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverages that highlight the great tastes and textures that come from farms right here in Adams County.
To participate, spend a night out at one of the restaurants on our list located at www.acfga.info/restaurants. Order off a special “Bounty of the County” menu of items made specifically for this event and that support the Adams County Fruit Growers Association. Enjoy your meal!
The Adams County Fruit Growers Association holds this event to promote our local fruit industry. We hope that Bounty of the County will remind our community of the orchards and farms right in our backyards as we celebrate the harvest season. We want to connect with both locals and tourists that don’t make it out to the farm markets and special events in the fruit industry. We want to bring them delicious fresh produce straight from the orchards and fields. We want to bring local produce to local restaurants and put “local” top of mind as we kick harvest into high gear. A portion of every purchase supports research and education for fruit growers. Both are vitally important for the survival of our local industry.
