Ahh, the fragrant smell of chestnuts roasting on an open fire . . .
An old-fashioned Christmas custom, roasting chestnuts has become a popular Shriver House tradition during the Gettysburg Christmas Festival. Bob and John, our official chestnut roasters, will sing The Christmas Song (bring some earplugs!) while roasting chestnuts in front of the Shriver House. Come early, they’ll be roasting until all the chestnuts are gone.
