Family Cooking Class – It’s Salsa Time!

The tomatoes and peppers are ripe, and what better way to enjoy them than in salsa.  During this class, we’ll try our hand at making a traditional salsa or Pico de Gallo (you’ll learn the difference), a salsa verde using tomatillos, and a guacamole sauce.  We’ll explore some of the different kinds of peppers that can be used in these dishes, and we’ll be making our own baked tortilla chips so that you can sample your salsas and guac right away.  Each table will make a pint of salsa/Pico, a pint of salsa verde, and a pint of guacamole.

Your registration for the class will reserve 1 table that can seat 1 to 5 people. Each table will make a pint of salsa/Pico, a pint of salsa verde, and a pint of guacamole.

• These classes provide a relaxed atmosphere in our bee room, perfect for children (we recommend ages 3 and up), families, and anyone who would like to learn a new recipe using fresh ingredients.  Beginners are welcome.
• Registration for these classes closes no later than 48 hours prior to the event so that ingredients may be purchased and prepared. 
• Recipes may be subject to change based upon ingredient availability.  Prior notice of any changes will be given. 
• No refunds will be issued.
