Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
First, join us for a battlefield walk for this two-part event. We will meet at Little Round Top and join Ted Chamberlain, aka Joshua Chamberlain, as we walk to the 20th Maine monument with General Chamberlain reminiscing on his service during the Battle of Gettysburg. Free time from 3-6:30pm.
At 6:30pm we meet at the Dobbin House Tavern for dinner with Colonel Chamberlain. Entree choices of salmon, prime rib or hunter style chicken. Entree selection needs to be placed at time of registration for the event. A cash bar is available during dinner.
Colonel Chamberlain will present a program following dinner titled “The Chamberlain you Never Knew.” Dinner will take place from 6:30pm until approximately 9pm. The cost for the event is $55 for adults, $40 for children ages 8 and under.
