The 41st Annual Adams County Celebration of Life, From the Mountaintop, celebrates the work of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., featuring keynote speakers Mayor Rita Frealing and Attorney Taurean Moses.
Mayor Frealing capped a distinguished career by becoming Gettysburg’s first African American and woman to become mayor in 2021.
Attorney Moses is the first African American member of the Adams County Bar Association, for which he serves as vice president.
The announcement and presentation of the the annual “Living The Dream” award is also scheduled, recognizing a community member or group who best demonstrates the YWCA’s mission of eliminating racism, sponsored by YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County and the United Way of Adams County.
Music is provided by the Biglerville High School Jazz Band, Brownsville Church of God Worship Team, Gettysburg Children’s Choir, and Chamber Chorale.
