The perfect setting to remember and honor those men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. This is one of the oldest continuing ceremonies in the country.

The Memorial Day parade begins at 2 p.m. at Lefever Street in Gettysburg, heads northeast to East Middle Street, turns west on East Middle Street and south on Baltimore Street to the Soldiers’ National Cemetery.

The Memorial Day Ceremony takes place following the parade at the Rostrum in the Soldiers’ National Cemetery. The Keynote Speaker for the 2023 Gettysburg Memorial Day Ceremony is Dr. Harold Kushner, retired Colonel from the U.S. Army Medical Corps. Dr. Kushner was a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.

Thank you to the generous support of the community and the Gettysburg Joint Veterans Memorial Day Commission.
