Greyhounds in Gettysburg, Events Open to the Public

Greyhounds in Gettysburg® is a long-standing reunion of greyhounds and their owners from all around the Eastern U.S. (and beyond), with a mission of social interaction, fun, shopping, and educational opportunities. Thanks to the dedication of countless volunteers, “GIG” has become the largest greyhound reunion in the country with more than 1,000 sight-hounds and their people arriving from all over the globe.

Come to see these beautiful greyhounds and shop during the three-day event.

Members of the general public are invited to events at Allstar Events Complex all weekend, some requiring registration, others are free with donations encouraged.

Registration for the entire weekend’s events is $30, $35 for admission and swag bag, $40 at the door.  Advanced registration ends on April 10.

Don’t miss Saturday morning’s ice cream social and costume contest. Both are free with no registration required.

The Costume Contest begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Activities Center of the AllStar Center. Cash prizes for “Best Group,” “Best Other Animal,” and “Best Military” are awarded in each category.

The Ice Cream Social takes place at 11:30 a.m. outside the Activities Center, hosted by Greyt Expectations Greyhound Adoption.

This is a volunteer fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting greyhound adoption and medical treatment efforts.
