Join HABPI for its fifth “Ride for Trails”. After much research and discussion, we have decided to proceed with a modified ride this year to ensure a safe event for everyone. And to give something back to the community during this difficult year, we’ve decided to make this event FREE! Donations will be accepted but aren’t expected.
To maintain the safety of the event, we won’t be able to offer a lunch this year. And to keep our costs down, we won’t have a t-shirt. But hey, it’s FREE! (We’ll gladly accept donations from anyone interested in supporting our work to develop trails in Adams County, PA.) Visit habpi.org for more information and to register/sign the waiver.
We are offering three different routes this year including:
- A 12-mile route around the Gettysburg Battlefield and across Sachs Bridge that will be led by members of HABPI. Group size will be limited to ten with multiple groups available if needed to ensure proper spacing can be followed. This ride departs at 9am.
- A 25-mile route that will include Sachs Bridge and the battlefield as well as the country roads south of Gettysburg. This will be a “show & go” event which means there is no mass start. You arrive anytime after 8 am, pick up a cue sheet if needed, and head off whenever you’re ready. The route will be marked with road arrows and a rest stop will be available about halfway.
- We’ll also offer a 40 mile route for those wanting to see a bit more of the beautiful countryside. We’ll have a Ride-with-GPS map available but we aren’t planning to mark the full route. This will be show & go as well with a rest stop available.
