Howard Tunnel Special

This is a regional event, one you might consider if venturing outside Adams County during your visit.

Join this gorgeous 30-mile round trip behind GP9 #6076 winding through the Historic Codorus Valley with a brief stop at the Howard Tunnel to stretch your legs. The leaves are down so you’ll be provided with unique views that aren’t normally available.

The Howard Tunnel is the oldest active passenger railroad tunnel in the country!

Your ticket (adult or child) includes a choice of a complimentary boxed lunch.

Lunches include potato chips, cookie, and bottled water.

Tickets: $59 Adult; $32 Child (age 5-12)

(Wheelchair lift is not available at the Howard Tunnel passengers who wish to exit the train must be able to climb up and down 6 steps without crew assistance.).

This excursion is approximately 3.5  hours. There will be a 10-minute stop at the tunnel for passengers who wish to disembark to view the tunnel.

Tickets will be printed and available for pick up at the ticket booth on the day of the excursion.
