Gettysburg National Military Park starts the new year with events for families with special learners. Join us for “Lincoln at Gettysburg” for the Hearing-Impaired on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, 9 until 11 a.m. The program begins at the David Wills House museum, 8 Lincoln Square, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

 

Youth and families can explore President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg journey and speech with park rangers and American Sign Language interpreters. The program includes interactive tours of the David Wills House museum and the Gettysburg National Cemetery, and concludes with a recitation of the Gettysburg Address in American Sign Language.

 

The event is free of charge. Pre-registration is required to attend by emailing the National Park Service at Gettysburg’s education team at gett_education@nps.gov.

 

Participants are invited to attend the free Saturday morning Reading Adventures programs at 11 a.m. in the theater at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg.
