Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Hello, cherry fans! Pick-your-own sweet cherry season will begin Friday, June 19th, 2020. There is no need to rush. We escaped freezing temperatures early spring, so thankfully the crop is plentiful. Tart cherries and blueberries will soon follow and be ready to pick July 1st (perhaps sooner).
If you’re coming from a distance, please call first for availability (717-677-8558) or continue to check our website/Facebook page. Sweet Cherry Pick-Your-Own Pricing is $3.50/lb. this year. Cash, check, and all forms of credit cards are accepted. Our picking hours during harvest season are Mon. – Sat., 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. & Sun., 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Travel/Detour Update: PennDOT will have the west side of Cashtown Road CLOSED June 15th – July 31st. We recommend that you do not take Route 30 W from Route 15 if you are traveling north to our farm. As an alternate, please take Route 234 W from Route 15 (PA-234 exit from US-15N toward Heidlersburg/East Berlin). Turn left off the exit to continue west on 234 towards Biglerville. The detour will add 9 minutes to your drive, but you’ll avoid the road closure mess.
Covid-19 Details: All patrons must practice social distancing. Please use hand-sanitizing/hand-washing stations before entering and after exiting the orchard. Following safety guidelines from PA Dept. of Agriculture, we will have heavy-duty plastic bags available for picking rather than our 8-qt. plastic buckets. You can just take the bags home instead of transferring cherries to separate containers. This year we’re offering a preregistration process to eliminate time and contact. One individual from each vehicle/group visiting must preregister here: https://www.boyernurseries.com/pyo-waiver/ Please bring along or show a copy of the completed form to our staff on your visit. You will also have the option to complete a paper version of this form in-person.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to food safety regulations, we cannot allow dogs or pets in the orchard. Service dogs are allowed.
Thank you in advance for your visit. We look forward to seeing you, friends!
