Read, Learn, Grow Children’s Summer Program

Read, Learn, Grow starts June 15, 2022!

Choose from three sessions:  Wednesdays from 9-10 AM, Wednesdays from 10:30 – 11:30 AM, or Thursdays from 9-10 AM.  Pre-Registration is Required.

Get the kids out of the house this summer for a fun time on the farm! Kids who participate in our Read, Learn, Grow hour long program will:

• Enjoy story time with a book about farming, fruits, veggies, insects, and more.
• Learn about various aspects of farming with hands-on activities.
• Take home something special each week – from hand-picked fruit to a hand-made craft!

Tentative 2022 Topics

(Please note: Topics are subject to change due to crop availability and weather)

• 6/15 and 6/16   –  Welcome to the Farm Wagon Ride
• 6/22 and 6/23   –  Meet a Cow
• 6/29 and 6/30   –  Pretty Amazing Plants
• 7/6  and 7/7      –  Honeybees and Pollination
• 7/13 and 7/14   –  Blueberries
• 7/20 and 7/21   –  Butterflies, Moths, and Metamorphosis
• 7/27 and 7/28   –  Wonderful Worms
• 8/3 and 8/4       –  Versatile Vegetables
• 8/10 and 8/11   –  Stone Fruit

Other things you should know:

• This program is recommended for children, ages 3-7.
• We request that all parents remain on site and with your child during the activity.
• Registration is Required this year to reserve a spot. Space is limited!
• Please arrive a few minutes early to check in.
• No Refunds.
• We will visit various places on the farm so please dress appropriately.
• The event goes on rain or shine, unless dangerous weather is predicted.
