The Pettigrew-Trimble Charge with Jim Hessler

Join LBG Jim Hessler for a walk in the often-forgotten footsteps of Pettigrew and Trimble’s men as they participated in the ill-fated assault known popularly as Pickett’s Charge. We will discuss the decisions and dramatic consequences on both sides of the field during one of the war’s most disastrous charges. This tour will run from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and the tour will begin at the North Carolina Memorial. Parking will be on the right side of West Confederate Avenue. Please keep all tires on the pavement.
