The Adams County Historical Society (ACHS) will be presenting a special free Facebook Live presentation on the Society’s Facebook page presented by ACHS Historian, Tim Smith.
The program will focus on rock formations and carvings on the Gettysburg Battlefield. The rocks on the Gettysburg battlefield were there at the time of the battle. Soldiers stood on them, fought around them, and bled on them. Following the war, many were given names, and inscriptions were chiseled into them. In many cases, the rocks are monuments every bit as much as those erected by the veterans.
After the program, we will post the video on our YouTube channel. You can watch the live stream on our Facebook page. Viewers without a Facebook account can still view the live stream from a PC or MAC computer.
