Licensed Battlefield Guide Deb Novotney is offering two ninety-minute women’s history tours of historic Evergreen Cemetery on Sunday, Nov 20, weather permitting, one at 1 a.m. and one at 1:30 p.m.

The tour focuses on the notable women who lived in the Gettysburg area during the battle in 1863.  The walk features the grave sites of Mary Virginia Wade, the Powers sisters, Elizabeth Thorn, the two widows whose homes were used by the Union and Confederate army commanders, and many more.

Both tours are the same will take place on fairly level ground along cemetery roads.

The tours are free and open to all.  Donations, however, are appreciated as they benefit Evergreen Cemetery.
