Join the Gettysburg College Sunderman Conservatory Wind Symphony, under the direction of Dr. Russell McCutcheon, for Masterworks and Premieres, a powerful and diverse program showcasing both timeless classics and groundbreaking new works. This exciting concert takes place at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, at Gettysburg’s Majestic Theater.
The evening features saxophone soloist Orazio Thomas, a senior music student at Gettysburg College and this year’s Concerto Competition winner. Featured on the program is Song of the Ancient Night by Jon Russell, an innovative and immersive work using open-ended notation. The Sunderman Conservatory Wind Symphony is honored to present this consortium premiere, shaping a one-of-a-kind musical experience for the audience.
With an inspiring blend of solo artistry, new music, and timeless wind band repertoire, this concert is not to be missed!
Tickets are just $5 for adults. Children under 18 and Gettysburg College ID holders enjoy free admission.
