The Quay House is the birthplace of Senator Matthew S. Quay who was also instrumental in the Fredericksburg campaign, earning the medal of honor for heroism as a colonel with the 134th Pennsylvania Volunteers during the Civil War.
Conveniently located in south-central PA, with short drives to Hershey, Gettysburg, Lancaster and Carlisle as well as large cities such as Baltimore and Washington DC. During the winter, the quay house is 7 miles from Roundtop Mountain Resort and springtime at Carlisle auto events. The property is 190+ years young, has been restored to feature all the modern-day amenities, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and while not handicap accessible per se, does have a chair climber and is ADA friendly.
