Historic Walking Town Tour – Jennie Wade’s Baltimore Street

Join Reluctant Witnesses for a walking tour of the Southern Portion of the town and Walk in Jennie Wade’s footsteps.

This walking tour of the southern portion of the town explores Baltimore Street and visits the houses where Gettysburg’s beloved Jennie Wade lived and was associated. Our guide recounts some of the events of July 1863 and how the townspeople remembered them. We examine and discuss firsthand accounts of civilians who also lived on Baltimore Street and compare the street’s existing structures to how the town looked like in 1863.

This is a 2-hour leisurely paced walk on paved roads…wheelchairs are manageable.

The tour starts in front of the Jennie Wade House and covers several blocks on Baltimore Street.
On the return, we also visit the site of her house on Breckenridge Street before the tour ends back at the Jennie Wade house.

*Please note: We do not tour the inside of the house.
