MLK Weekend Walking Tours: Gettysburg’s Rich African American History

Spend an hour walking around the town of Gettysburg to learn about the rich history of African Americans in Gettysburg. Hear stories about Jack Hopkins, Basil Biggs, Frederick Douglass, and so many more. You may also visit the Lincoln Cemetery.

We are open 7 days a week and offer a large array of tours;

Daytime Tours are by reservation only between 10:00 am – 3:00 pm daily. Tours are 90 minutes of easy walking. Adults $30.00; Students (9-17) $10.00; Children 8 and under are free.

Evening Tours (resuming spring 2025) are 60 min of easy walking. Adults $25.00; Students (9-17) $10.00; Children 8 and under are free.
