Songs and Stories of the American Revolution

Adams County Library System presents Songs and Stories of the American Revolution on June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Carroll Valley Library, 5685 Fairfield Road, Fairfield.

This program features historical interpreter and musician Matthew Dodd, who appears in authentic Colonial attire before a set designed to evoke an 18th-century tavern. Through historically grounded songs and accompanying narrative, he provides audiences with an engaging overview of daily life, challenges, and sentiments during the American Revolution.

Accompanied by guitar, banjo, and mandolin, Mr. Dodd offers a performance that combines music, storytelling, and historical context to create a compelling and educational experience focused on the era of 1776.
