POSSIBLE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN –
Destination Gettysburg is following the potential for a shutdown of the federal government. While we hope this is averted, Gettysburg will remain open – including the community’s many historic sites, museums, restaurants, lodging and shopping.
The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center, a facility owned by the Gettysburg Foundation, will remain open in the event of a shutdown, according to Foundation officials.
If we learn of any interruption to the operations of federally owned properties in Adams County, PA, we will share that information on this page.
NEW PARKING MEASURES AT MUSEUM AND VISITORS CENTER –
Gettysburg National Military Park (NMP) has announced new parking measures will taking affect at the Museum and Visitor Center on April 1, 2023. These measures are necessary due to the ongoing road construction on Visitor Center Drive from Taneytown Road to the Visitor Center (see next item below).
