A message from Destination Gettysburg

As a destination marketing organization dedicated to bringing people together and fostering understanding, historical perspective, and cultural awareness through travel, Destination Gettysburg stands in support of human equity and in opposition to forces that may seek to divide us.

Upon the hallowed ground marking the sacrifices made by thousands of Americans who gave their lives to fighting for equality, we are committed to speaking out against racism and injustice and to take “increased devotion” in supporting the diversity that makes our community not only an area worth visiting, but in which to live, work, and raise new generations.

Our town was a community long before it became the site of one of our nation’s hardest fought battles in the struggle for human rights. A commitment to diversity and inclusion remains among our strongest core values.

It is with these challenges in mind that Gettysburg stands rededicated to the great tasks remaining before us. And, it is with high resolve, that we continue to honor the values for which our forefathers fought.
