“Love Never Dies” An Evening of “Valloween” Ghost Stories by Rissa Miller

On Saturday, February 7th, Love Never Dies offers an evening of haunting stories centered on love, loss, and devotion.

Valentine’s season often focuses on sweetness, but Love Never Dies explores a deeper side of love—the kind that lingers beyond death. Drawing from history and folklore, the program shares ghost stories from around the world where love does not end quietly.

Audiences will hear tales of a bride who waits forever at a New Orleans hotel window, lovers separated by war who continue to dance in empty ballrooms, and spirits who return to bridges, ships, and shorelines. These stories are driven not by fear or anger, but by enduring love.

Set in Gettysburg, a place shaped by loss and unfinished goodbyes, Love Never Dies focuses on the emotional side of the paranormal: grief, connection, and devotion. The program asks a simple question—when love is cut short, does it ever truly leave?

Rissa Miller is a folklorist, historian, and herbalist who specializes in ghost lore and the human stories behind legends. She presents throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the Mid-Atlantic and is the author of Room With a Boo, a children’s book.
