Womens History Day

Women’s History Day at the World War II American Experience represents preservation, innovation, celebration, and education in 2026 by highlighting the vital contributions of women during wartime through authentic artifacts, historic vehicles, and living history interpretation.

The program preserves and shares personal stories that reflect women’s essential roles both on the home front and in uniform. It also emphasizes innovation by exploring how women expanded traditional responsibilities, adapted to new technologies, and helped advance military, industrial, and medical efforts. Above all, the event serves as a celebration of women’s courage, service, and resilience, honoring their lasting impact on American and military history while inspiring future generations through meaningful educational engagement.
