Thomason’s Herb Farm and Gift Shop in East Berlin will host its 13th Annual Sweet Potato Festival on September 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and September 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This lively, family-friendly event offers something for everyone and is a great way to experience the charm of Adams County as it celebrates America’s 250th anniversary. The festival features a menu of sweet potato favorites, including sweet potato fries, baked sweet potatoes, soups, funnel cakes, and whoopie pies. Visitors can enjoy live music throughout the weekend while browsing a variety of local craft vendors.
Set on a working farm, guests can spend time with alpacas and chickens, adding to the fun for all ages. On Saturday, the festival partners with Roots for Boots, a local veterans organization, for a special track chair giveaway. Sunday begins with a non-denominational outdoor church service from 10 to 11 a.m.
The festival takes place at 170 Stoney Point Road in East Berlin. For more information, contact [email protected] or call 717-624-1527.
