ALBG Visiting Scholars Banquet 2026

The Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides invites you to its annual Visiting Scholars Banquet, featuring 2026 Visiting Scholar Dr. Scott Hancock.

Dr. Hancock, associate professor of history and Africana Studies at Gettysburg College, will present “Black Gettysburg and the Coming of the American Civil War.” His work explores how African Americans have shaped and been shaped by American law, memory, and historical landscapes, bringing often-overlooked stories back into the national narrative.

The evening will be held in the Abigail Adams Ballroom at the Dobbin House Tavern. A cash bar opens at 5:30 PM, followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30 PM, with the lecture immediately following dinner.

Tickets are $35 and include both the dinner and lecture.
