Granite Hill Camping Resort at 3340 Fairfield Road in Gettysburg hosts a full four-day Independence Day celebration from July 2 through July 6 packed with family activities, live entertainment, outdoor games, and classic summer traditions. The annual holiday weekend event brings campers and visitors together for patriotic fun across the scenic resort grounds near the South Mountain region.
The celebration features patriotic tie-dye, ceramic painting, scavenger hunts, poolside fun, and family-friendly competitions including cornhole and horseshoe tournaments. Kids roll through the campground during the Patriotic Bicycle Parade while guests gather throughout the weekend for campfires, music, and outdoor recreation. Evening entertainment keeps the energy high with a live DJ spinning dance favorites and sing-along classics under the stars.
History fans can also experience nearby Civil War battle reenactments at the Daniel Lady Farm during the holiday weekend. Event details and tickets are available at . Fireworks fans can head to Liberty Mountain Resort for the July 4 celebration featuring live music, BBQ, yard games, and a fireworks finale at dusk just a short drive from Granite Hill.
Sunday, July 6 wraps up with Happy Hour on the Red Shed Deck featuring Brandon Robey and his acoustic mix of classic favorites, pop hits, and original songs.
Granite Hill is also home of the Gettysburg Blue Grass Festival and the Gettysburg Wine & Music Festival.
