80s Throwback Weekend at Granite Hill

Granite Hill Camping Resort brings big retro energy to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania with a Totally Awesome 80’s Throwback Weekend running May 29–31 at 3340 Fairfield Road. The three-day campground event packs the schedule with colorful activities, classic games, family entertainment, and nonstop nostalgia inspired by the decade of mixtapes, neon fashion, and MTV culture.

Families can jump into tie-dye sessions, compete in a Horseshoe Tournament, and spend Saturday morning exploring hands-on creative stations throughout the resort. Activities include ceramic painting, cassette tape decorating, neon splatter-paint art, and friendship bracelet making, giving kids and adults plenty of chances to lean into the 1980s theme. The weekend’s biggest attraction arrives Saturday night when Velveeta, a popular State College-based 80’s cover band, takes the stage at Sterling Pavilion for a live outdoor concert free to all campers. Guests can expect a lively night filled with throwback hits, dancing, and summer campground atmosphere under the stars.
