As America’s 250th anniversary approaches, the 33rd Annual Biglerville Oakside Community Park Summer Bluegrass Gospel Concert Series continues a tradition rooted in the music and community spirit that helped shape the American experience. The roots of the American experience are deeply embedded in bluegrass and gospel music, genres that emerged from the fusion of immigrant traditions and African rhythms to tell the raw stories of working-class survival. By bringing diverse people together during early frontier camp meetings, gospel became the first shared American music, bridging cultural divides through a common spiritual language.
Located near Gettysburg, the annual concert series continues serving as a summer gathering spot for bluegrass and gospel music fans across South Central Pennsylvania.
