4th Annual Women Veterans Day at WWII American Experience

The 4th Annual Women Veterans Day Celebration and Expo takes place June 13 at the WWII American Experience Museum on Crooked Creek Road in Gettysburg. Hosted by Team Jennifer Cahill Charities, this special event honors the service and achievements of women veterans while highlighting the stories of pioneering women who helped shape American military history.

Women veterans and one guest receive free admission to the expo and lunch. The museum will offer discounted admission of $10 per person for the expo attendees, as well as the general public, providing an opportunity to experience both the event and the museum’s exhibits.

Featured presentations explore the lives and contributions of Margaret Cochran Corbin, who cared for wounded soldiers during the Revolutionary War and became the first woman to receive a military pension; Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, a Civil War surgeon and the only female Medal of Honor recipient; and Major Charity Adams, commander of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion during World War II and the inspiration behind The Six Triple Eight.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and activities continue until 5:00 p.m.
