The Land Conservancy of Adams County presents The 28th Annual Road Rally: The Bridges of Adams County on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 6:30 p.m., beginning from the organization’s headquarters at 670 Old Harrisburg Road in Gettysburg, PA. This scenic, educational driving adventure leads teams along a nearly 60-mile route through Adams County during the height of fall color.
Participants follow turn-by-turn directions to historic and scenic points of interest while exploring the stories behind the county’s bridges. Stops along the route highlight when these structures were built, how local communities used them, and the events, repairs, damage, and preservation efforts connected to them. Teams also answer trivia questions based on discoveries made throughout the journey.
The Road Rally is not a race, and speed plays no role in scoring. The experience combines local history, rural scenery, preservation, and friendly competition before concluding at a museum with a finish-line party featuring food, entertainment, and awards for top-performing teams.
The event supports the Land Conservancy of Adams County and its work to protect farms, meadows, woodlands, and wetlands. Registration documents are available online.
