Explore the powerful history of the George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital during an in-depth guided tour presented by the Gettysburg Foundation. Tours take place on July 24–25, August 21–22, and September 25–26, 2026, with timed shuttles departing the nearby Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center at 9:40 a.m. and 1:10 p.m. on each tour date.

Knowledgeable interpreters lead visitors through the historic grounds while sharing stories of the people connected to the farm. The tour examines the site’s role before, during, and after the American Civil War, including its use as a field hospital following the Battle of Gettysburg.

Each guided experience offers a closer look at the farm’s buildings, landscape, and human stories, giving participants a deeper understanding of one of Gettysburg’s most significant preserved historic sites.

A timed shuttle and admission ticket are required, and space is limited. Visitors should reserve tickets in advance and arrive at the Museum & Visitor Center in time for their scheduled shuttle. Additional tour details and ticket information are available through the Gettysburg Foundation
