Salsa on the Square 2026

Salsa on the Square brings live music, dancing, food & culture, as well as community purpose to Historic Lincoln Square on Friday 9/25 at 5:30pm.

This vibrant outdoor street dance and cultural festival takes place on the first block of Carlisle Street in downtown Gettysburg and features energetic Latin music from a live band and DJ sets. Dancing is open to all skill levels.

Guests can sample local food vendors who offer diverse culinary options and partake in family-friendly kids’ activities while celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and honoring Gettysburg’s sister-city relationship with León, Nicaragua.

In the year of America’s 250th anniversary, Salsa on the Square celebrates the many cultural, economic, religious, and social contributions that the Latinx community brings to Adams County. The Latinx population in Adams County, mostly from Mexico, started migrating here over 50 years ago and began settling as permanent residents shortly after.  America’s story is not limited to 1776—it is an evolving story shaped by generations of people who have made communities like Adams County their home.
