The Farnsworth House is the only Civil War period dining experience in Gettysburg. Period fare served by period dressed servers in historic inn with over 100 bullet holes in exterior south wall. Some specialties include game pie, peanut soup, spoon bread and pumpkin fritters, steak and seafood dishes. We recommend reservations for our dining room which is open seven days a week at 5pm. Contact our bookstore to reserve your table.
We also have the family friendly Tavern, Sweney’s, which serves lite fare with a touch of Pennsylvania Dutch.
Have children coming with you? Our children’s menu is sure to please even the pickiest eater.
This AAA recommended dining experience has something for everyone, and the Farnsworth House is the only restaurant in Gettysburg to have been reviewed by Bon Appetite magazine. They wrote “History never tasted so good.”
