Welcome to Rise Yoga Gettysburg! We have moved to a new downtown location at 430 Baltimore St. right next to the iconic witness sycamore tree at Unity park and backing up to the Spangler’s Spring walking trail. While our vision is expanding, our values remain the same. Our intention at Rise is to provide a space to support healing, resilience and connection. We aim to offer a culture of care and responsiveness to individual needs, empowering students to approach their yoga and mindfulness practice with curiosity and compassion, in a way that serves them through each new season.
We believe in the power of yoga for every body, every mind and every season of life.
Yoga is an ancient set of practices that are intended to support wellness of the whole self, but more than that, when practiced within a supportive, accepting and nurturing community, these tools can be a powerful source of collective care. We acknowledge that historically these practices have not been made available to all people, and spaces where these practices are offered have not always effectively promoted a sense of inclusion and belonging, but rather, have done the opposite. We intend to create a truly inclusive space because we believe that an authentic yoga and mindfulness practice is one that is made accessible and available to all. Our instructional approach is student-centered and adaptive in nature, with the intention of meeting you exactly where you are. Our goal is to provide a space to promote a sense of wholeness of mind, body and heart, knowing also that you come to your mat or cushion already whole.
Rise is a space of purposeful inclusion. You are welcome regardless of ability, experience, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial or cultural identity, neurodiversity, financial means, educational background, religious or spiritual perspective. Bilingual instructional support in Spanish is available as needed. Get in touch to find out more!
Private instruction, youth and family classes, as well as summer camps and after school programs for youth ages 5-11 are also available.
*Please do not hesitate to contact Rise directly if the cost of a class would prevent you from participating as it is important to us to make this practice more financially accessible as well. Also check out our monthly FREE community class every first Friday.
