Reynolds to the Rescue

As a wing commander in the Army of the Potomac, Major General John Fulton Reynolds was one of the highest ranking officers to fall in battle during the Civil War. His bold and decisive actions on the morning of the first day of the battle blunted the Confederate advance and are often cited as a major reason for the Union victory at Gettysburg. But Reynolds paid for his aggressive style of command with his life. Join us, as we examine the plethora of eyewitness accounts, from both soldiers and civilians, concerning the movements and actions of the general leading up to the fateful events of July 1, 1863.
