Your Backyard Geology

Ye Old Sulphur Spa Historical Society presents Your Backyard Geology, a program that explains the ancient origins of Latimore Township.

Join geoarcheologist Jeri Jones on Sunday April 6th at 2pm to learn about the lush sub-tropical swamp that once enveloped the east coast of America and provided an ideal environment for dinosaurs, reptiles, and amphibians. Petrified wood, fern fossils, and dinosaur footprints represent geologic chapters spanning millions of years of geological history in York Springs.

Mr. Jones, author and researcher, will have fossils, volcanic rocks, minerals, and a dinosaur footprint on hand for guests to examine.

This program takes place at the Lions Building at 406 Main Street, York Springs.
