Lincoln Cemetery at Gettysburg Hosts Taps

Now through August 31, Taps will be played every Sunday at 6 p.m. at Lincoln Cemetery at Gettysburg to honor Black veterans from the Civil War through the Korean War. In partnership with the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania’s One Hundred Nights of Taps program, these weekly performances are sounded by buglers from across the globe in addition to the One Hundred Nights of Taps held nightly at the Pennsylvania Memorial at Gettysburg National Military Park at 7 p.m. through Labor Day.

The location of the town’s historic Black cemetery is at the intersection of Lincoln and Long Lanes in Gettysburg.  Parking is available along Long Lane and at Gettysburg Rec Park.

Please bring your own chairs.
