A Gettysburg Christmas Festival

“This town does Christmas right!”

​Come experience the magic in a picture-perfect, charming and inviting small town this holiday season! Main Street Gettysburg and the businesses of Gettysburg and Adams County welcome everyone to see, hear, taste, touch, and live the holiday spirit at the 2025 Gettysburg Christmas Festival.

​Stroll through historic downtown, around the Square, back and forth from Chambersburg and York Streets, up and down Baltimore Street and Steinwehr Avenue, and ​enjoy all ​the activities, ​events, entertainment, specials, ​decorations, drinks, and food as Gettysburg’s holiday lights sparkle and shine with joy and cheer for all!

This year, the festival transforms Steinwehr Avenue into “A Victorian Christmas,” bringing the mid-to-late 1800s, and specifically Gettysburg 1863, to life. Military and civilian living historians will share period music, dance, demonstrations, and engaging presentations. Attendees can enjoy up-close conversations with experts and actors, plus family-friendly activities.
