Get Involved in America 250th

Adams County, Pennsylvania’s commemoration of America 250th will take an entire community of residents, business owners, elected officials and more. We invite you to be a part of this semi-quincentennial anniversary and help America celebrate this milestone right here in Adams County.

The three best ways to get involved are planning an event, volunteering for programs, joining a committee, or by generating ideas. We’ve already heard from community organizations, churches, clubs who have offered their services, their time and their suggestions on how to make this anniversary one to remember.

The Steering Commission for Adams County’s commemoration will gladly welcome your time, your generosity and your energy for America 250th events and projects right here in our community.

Event Volunteer

If you’re looking to help in any way you can, we’re looking to put together a small army of volunteers to help with events, programs, projects and more – all in ways to commemorate America 250th. You don’t need to commit, at this time, to any particular endeavor … we’ll just put you on our list and you can help when you can, when you want.

Event Host

If you or your organization wants to host an event, activity or education program, we’re all ears! We’re looking to host 250 events in 2026, and we’ll need events of all shapes and sizes to make that happen. Do you have an idea for an event, but not sure where to host it, or how to make it happen? Join a Committee

The Steering Commission has created subcommittees to assist the commission with a variety of efforts.
