As the top apple-producing county in Pennsylvania and the 6th largest in the nation, Adams County’s orchards play a important role in both local heritage and the economy. Each year, over 12 million bushels of apples are grown across 120 orchards, many of which have been run by the same families for generations. This deep-rooted tradition shapes the region’s landscape, making springtime an unmissable season to explore.
From April through early May, apple trees take center stage, blanketing the rolling hills and valleys in a sea of blossoms. Whether you’re looking for the perfect scenic drive, an unforgettable photo op, or a chance to support local farms and businesses, the Adams County Blossom Belt offers a one-of-a-kind springtime experience.

Adams County Apple Blossom Festival

Celebrate the beauty of Adams County’s apple blossom season at this family-friendly festival! Stroll through a bustling marketplace featuring local artisans and crafters, enjoy live music, and take a free guided tour of the National Apple Museum to learn about the region’s rich agricultural history. The event also includes food vendors, horse-drawn carriage rides, a mini petting zoo, raffles, and fun activities for kids. Don’t miss the PA Apple Queen & Princess appearances or the highly anticipated Chili Cook-Off! Admission and parking are free.
2nd Annual Spring Blossom Event

Enjoy delicious food, live demonstrations, and hands-on activities for kids, including a self-led craft station and sampling in the Bee Room. Take in the orchard views on a wagon ride ($3 per person, available for purchase on-site), or stroll the scenic Story Walk Trail for a peaceful outdoor experience.
