2026 World War II Weekend – Eisenhower National Historic Site

The 2026 World War II Weekend returns to Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, from September 18-20 with a theme that connects the American Revolution to the global fight for freedom during World War II. Marking the event’s 28th year, “The Fight for Liberty: The Revolution to the Great Crusade” highlights the enduring ideals of liberty and equality that shaped the nation from 1776 through the Second World War.

The weekend begins Friday, September 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. Activities continue Saturday, September 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, September 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg, PA.

One of the nation’s largest World War II living history events, the annual program draws thousands of visitors to Adams County for an immersive look at military and home-front history. Guests can explore a large-scale living history encampment, attend ranger-guided walking tours, hear from guest speakers, and enjoy family-friendly activities throughout the weekend. The event also examines Gettysburg’s unique connection to American liberty, from the Revolutionary era to Dwight D. Eisenhower’s leadership as Supreme Allied Commander during World War II.

All WWII Weekend programming and activities are free of charge, and no entrance fee is required. Weather permitting, free on-site parking for passenger vehicles will be available throughout the weekend at Eisenhower National Historic Site.
