The 2nd Annual Earth Extravaganza is a free, all-ages event celebrating the environment with a full day of interactive activities, educational workshops, and family-friendly fun. Guests can explore interactive displays from over 20 nonprofit organizations, enjoy live music by David Sparrow, and take part in activities like face painting and photos with Smokey Bear.
Four engaging workshops (45–60 minutes each) will cover topics including rain barrels, carnivorous plants, skunks, and streamside tree restoration. A special youth workshop (ages elementary, 4–5 PM) will feature flower dissection. The event will also include remarks from County Commissioners.
Food will be available from Tacos Monarca and Antietam Dairy.
Participating organizations include the Adams County Conservation District, Penn State Extension programs, PA Game Commission, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Gettysburg National Military Park, and many other regional environmental partners.
This event is free and open to all ages and will be held rain or shine, with activities moving indoors in case of inclement weather.
