Summitt Hill headlines the June 28 installment of the 33rd Annual Biglerville Oakside Community Park Summer Bluegrass Gospel Concert Series in Biglerville, Pennsylvania. The Sunday evening performance begins at 6:30 p.m. at Oakside Community Park and features traditional bluegrass gospel music in an outdoor community setting.
The band’s bluegrass instrumentation and harmony vocals match the laid-back summer atmosphere that has made the Adams County concert series a seasonal favorite for decades. Guests can enjoy the free performance from the amphitheater, picnic pavilion, or Centennial Church during inclement weather.
As America’s 250th anniversary approaches, the 33rd Annual Biglerville Oakside Community Park Summer Bluegrass Gospel Concert Series continues a tradition rooted in the music and community spirit that helped shape the American experience. The roots of the American experience are deeply embedded in bluegrass and gospel music, genres that emerged from the fusion of immigrant traditions and African rhythms to tell the raw stories of working-class survival. By bringing diverse people together during early frontier camp meetings, gospel became the first shared American music, bridging cultural divides through a common spiritual language.
Located near Gettysburg in South Central Pennsylvania, the concert series continues drawing visitors looking for live gospel and bluegrass entertainment in a family-friendly environment.
