62nd PVI Living History

Join us as we welcome the 62nd PVI Living History Family at the Gettysburg Heritage Center.  For over 30 years, the 62nd PVI LHF has shared the stories of the 62nd PVI soldiers and their families from Armstrong County, Pennsylvania.  The group will be leading several Civil War era demonstrations throughout the weekend.

Saturday October 11th, 2025
The 62nd PVI will have ongoing demonstrations on several interesting topics, including Cooking and baking, Military drill and maneuvers, Battle strategy discussion, Civil War life, and the Heritage and lineage of those who endured the battle

Sunday October 12th, 2025
10:00 AM – Worship service led by Chaplain Jeff Ryder
11:00 AM* – Amy Wilson is conducting her presentation, “The 62nd PA Flag: Stories of Antietam, Gettysburg, and the Battle to be Remembered”   *Note: this is inside GHC’s Conference Room!

The 62nd PVI’s Living History discussions and demos from Saturday will continue throughout the day on Sunday until 4:00 PM.
