A Cultural Taste of Africa at Adams County Winery

Celebrate Juneteenth and America’s 250th with an afternoon of culture, community, music, food, fashion, and local wine during A Cultural Taste of Africa at Adams County Winery on June 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As Adams County joins communities across Pennsylvania in commemorating America’s 250th, A Taste of Africa at Adams County Winery offers an opportunity to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and creativity that continue to shape the American experience. Blending music, fashion, food, art, wine, and community, the duel celebration reflects the spirit of connection and cultural exchange at the heart of both America250PA and Juneteenth while inviting residents and visitors alike to experience Gettysburg through culture, community, and shared experiences.

Held Saturday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Farm Winery location of Adams County Winery, 251 Peach Tree Road in Orrtanna, the family-friendly event features live performances, artisan vendors, local businesses, cultural exhibits, community engagement, and a fashion showcase by Burkinabe designer SoroBis. Guests can enjoy the scenic winery setting while exploring African-inspired culture and creativity in the heart of Adams County wine country.

Throughout the afternoon, Adams County Winery will serve award-winning wines, wine slushies, local beer, canned cocktails, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages, while the Terrace Bistro offers handcrafted wood-fired pizzas and pretzels from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free, though advance registration is encouraged to assist organizers with accommodations and staffing.
